Since the dawn of time, dancing is an important ritual performed to venerate Heaven, Earth, gods, ancestors or sacred animals. In the Rites of Zhou (2nd century BCE) we can find mentions of the importance of dance, through the creation of the “Six Great Dances” (Yunmen Dajuan, Daxian, Dashao, Daxia, Dahu, Dawu), performed as healing practices for the veneration of the sky, the earth, the gods, the four directions, the sun, the moon, the stars, the seas, the mountains, the rivers, and ancestral worship.
Inspired by the five movements of life (Earth, Wood, Fire, Metal, Water), Jade is creating music playlists, to support meditation, qigong, and intuitive dance practices — music as a gateway to explore the five spirits of life.
Join us for this dance container,
to explore the healing potential of movement & music,
